Hand pieced.

This is currently my favorite block. I love the pattern and the fabric.

Block number 33.

Hand pieced. No applique until I absolutely have to.

Piecing the curves is so easy now. Matching the seams of curves is still being challenging. It's amazing how things that seemed tricky get easy with practice.

This is block 26.

I've finished 25 blocks.

In answer to my own question from the other day, circles can be done in hand piecing. I need a little more practice to do it well.

I pieced the center circle, put the "frame" together and then hand pieced the frame around the circle.

I prefer it to applique. I don't know how anyone else would feel about it.

P.S. - The block looks better in person than it does in the scan. The white "leaves" look more even than they do in the picture.

I wanted to try hand piecing curves this severe. I loved the process and the way it turned out.

Does anyone know if you can hand piece whole circles?

Hand pieced.

I was going to use all solid fabrics until I got to this block. It made me think of a window and I wanted to see flowers.

This is the 20th block I've finished.

I enjoy hand piecing curves, but this block gave me problems because of the bulk in the center of the block.

Applique would take care of the seaming challenge, but piecing the curves is so much fun it's worth it.

Hand pieced. What a pain this one gave me. I'll do this one over when I get to the end.
