Happy St. Patrick's Day

The green of this Red Ginger flower was the greenest thing I could see in my front yard today. It started raining or the green would have been even greener in the sun.

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend.

Aloha,

  1. How brilliant! Doesn't seem right on this day for the red to eclipse the green, but it does. Beautiful shot!

    1. Aloha, Barbara.

The flower is such a bright red that it's almost impossible to get a clear pic of it in the sunshine. It's one of those colors that almost makes your eyes hurt. lol.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope you have a great weekend.

  4. I find my iPhone camera really struggles with deeply saturated reds. You can literally see the pixels dancing on the screen as the camera tries to resolve them.

Another thought ... I recently read up on colorblindness as my son-in-law cannot perceive red and green as we do. My mind boggles trying to figure out how this picture would look to him. What triggered my reading was a display of Enchroma sunglasses at my optician's office. Comments from users included statements to the effect of "I had no idea that there were multiple shades of green in the garden." Imagine!
